Networking 101 – Mastering a Networking Mixer
During this talk Deborah will share tips and techniques for networking effectively, and avoiding the “networking disconnect”.

Deborah is Executive Director and Franchise Owner of BNI Ontario Central North (a franchise of BNI: Business Network International) since 2007, philanthropist, community catalyst, and CorporateMuse!
She’s passionate about sharing knowledge and ideas with others on topics such as effective networking, collaboration and co-petition, creativity, leadership, and community economic development, having presented to audiences from around the globe and around the corner. Her views on leadership and building business by referral have been featured in national and local newspapers like the Globe & Mail and Huronia Business Times, and she’s appeared on radio and TV talk shows such as Your Business, Georgian Bay Life and Daytime.
Deborah’s background includes a degree focused in Industrial & Organizational Psychology and over a quarter century of consulting, management and marketing experience in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. She is a founcing member of Career Professionals of Canada, launched in the early 2000’s.
Deborah was honoured to have received Barrie’s top business award: the Arch Brown Entrepreneur Award of Excellence, from the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce and the City of Barrie at the Barrie Business Awards in November 2011.
She, her husband Kurt, and their sweet love-on-four-legs Great Dane, Mocha, live in snow country, near Horseshoe Valley.
